Our route takes us from Barcelona through rolling hills and back to the coast at Cap Creus.

This cape is the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and is therefore the perfect landmark for

our coast-to-coast crossing of the Pyrenees.

As we continue our journey, we enjoy a few more kilometers of winding coastal road and sweeping

views of the Mediterranean Sea. A stop at one of the numerous restaurants on the coast offers another

opportunity to soak up the sea air and seafood before our route takes us westward into the mountains

the next day.

We make a short detour through the Gorges de Galamus, a gorge that should be seen at least once if

you are in the area.

As we continue our journey from there, we enjoy enchanting, idyllic country roads and the flair of

French cuisine before immersing ourselves in a completely different scenery at the end of the day:

the rugged mountains of Andorra. We will spend one night in this tax haven. Those who prefer to go

shopping are free to do so. Everyone else will join us on a relaxed ride to the beautiful Col de Cabus.

On day 4 we return to Spain. Over the next few days, we will cross the border into France several times

and enjoy impressive landscapes and breathtaking mountain passes.

Depending on everyone’s mood and skills as well as the suitability of the participating bikes, we have

the option to include some gravel roads, which will give us insights into more remote areas of these

wild mountain landscapes. But even without such excursions, we will be completely satisfied, because

the Pyrenees are in no way inferior to the Alps or other mountain ranges.

With a little luck, we will also get to see Port Larrau – a 1,573 m high pass that is often closed to

through traffic due to low clouds...

The end of our sixth day of riding takes us to the foothills of the Western Pyrenees, where we will stay

at a charming hotel on the French side.

A morning visit to Biarritz with a view of the Atlantic Ocean closes the circle of ‘Coast to Coast’ with

probably wistful thoughts about the imminent end of our trip.

That same evening, we will check into our hotel in Bilbao and review our experiences over a farewell

dinner before servicing the bikes the next day and boarding our return flight.
